Stop Killing Star Wars

Daily prompt: Let It Be-A restaurant that removed your favorite item from the menu, a bad cover of a great song… Write a post about something that should’ve been left untouched, but wasn’t. Why was the original better?

Slowly Killing Star Wars

Dear George Lucas,
This letter will be short and to the point.
Why do you insist on toying with my childhood memories?
Why can’t you just leave the the Star Wars Trilogy alone?
Just stop okay. It’s okay to admit you have a problem and that you are perfectionist. You need to realize that the movies were perfect before you decided to use modern technology to “fix” them.
It’s time to let the past go, leave your old movies alone and look to the future.
Thank you!

Blooming Flower-almost but not quite

Today’s daily prompt: In Retrospect. Yesterday you invented a new astrological sign. Today, write your own horoscope — for the past month (in other words, as if you’d written it October 1st).

Be prepared this month. You will have ups and downs. Highs and lows. You begin to delve into the depths of not only your own psyche but the collective unconsciousness and human nature. You will be pushed and pulled. You are a seed that is sprouting roots and beginning to grow. Embrace it. Remember, you are loved and supported.

Our Room Together

Daily Prompt: “Doppelgänger Alert-“You step into an acquaintance’s house for the first time, and discover that everything — from the furniture, to the books, to the art on the wall — is identical to your home. What happens next?”

Like a waking nightmare. This cannot be. Have I lost my mind? Has it happened that I have finally come undone? We share everything. You and I. Lines blurred and crossed. Your white padded room is just like mine. Togetherness has never been lonelier.
