A Round of Words in 80 Days

Hello!

I decided to join A Round of Words in 80 Days to help keep me focused on writing.  Not that I’m not.  It’s just that I can easily be lead astray, following the white rabbit down the hole and lose sight of what I was originally working on.

Here are my goals:

1. Finish the first edit of Rejected Revenge and send it off to the next editor.

2. Work on my other projects.  One a day daily.

3. Post daily.

4.  Have fun with my writing.

Good luck!

  1. Welcome!

I know what you mean about the white rabbit – I deal with that tricksome creature by listing all the various projects my wide-angle mind wants to play with, and dancing between them…

Your goals are clear and attainable. Welcome to ROW80! It’s good to meet you! =D

By the way, I LOVE your blog header!

      • My best advice is not to fight the way your brain works. I tried for decades, and it just got in my way.

Now, I list every goal I want to move toward. I’m the at-home parent of two unschoolers, so life can be spontaneous, and my mind tends to leap playfully between possibilities -so I let it. That seems to work better for me than attempting to contain or control it.

      • Thank you! Good luck! How old are your children? I think some days there is no containing or controlling, you just have to run with it 🙂

      • My kids are older now – 10 and 13. I don’t try to contain or control (maybe a good thing, my son is now bigger than me!), but rather to guide and partner with them. Since they were 7 and 4, we’ve been unschooling, and now, as they get closer to being adults, we have a deep connection that lets us talk through most problems as they crop up.

It makes life more pleasant, and peaceful, and FUN! And, because their passions have been taken seriously, there’s more and more room for me to explore my own! =)
